SPOILERS! Sorry, I don't know how to add a spoiler tag to the image... D: Although the cover of the book ought to be enough of a spoiler. XD

Anywho, this is a study of an image that I eventually want to do. As much as I disliked Invincible (not for the actual events, but the execution of everything was really poor), I did get weepy-eyed during this scene. Jaina isn't as beat up as she ought to be in this image, nor is Jacen, although I did add the flayed cheek on Jaina (if you can see it). Had to crop it this way because I couldn't get the right foreshortening on Jacen's legs. *facepalm* Yay for EU fanart!

I too like expanded universe fanart, and this pic is AWSOME but sad at the same time. But anyways, Great job and keep it up^_^

Thank you! Invincible was so sad.
:iconazure3:
not a problem and I also agree w/ you.

Wow. Just finished that book last night. This scene made me tear up. Beautiful little rendering. There's a lot of emotion in this little pic.
:iconrurouni-jedi:
Thanks! Saddest scene in the whole book, IMO. D:
:iconjojodancer:
Only surpassed by... oh wait, nothing! That was about the point I started tearing up...

That's what Jacen gets for being such a douchebag. Had I been his twin, I would've killed him in Inferno.

LOL, it would have saved a lot of people grief if it had happened then.

I'm with everyone else--that scene, with Jaina only half-aware, sitting with her brother's head in her lap, recalling their childhood... **starts sniffing again** Her parents finding them that way sent me over the edge, though... :cries:

This is beautiful, capturing the tragedy of the moment so well--the lighting especially is perfect, centering on the two of them, closing them into a tiny bit of warm memory and sheltering them for a few heartbeats from the horrific reality... The gory details here aren't so important as the emotion and mood--that's where the power of the image arises from. Beautiful job of capturing a supremely sad moment. :+fav:
